Hi,
The accommodation was brilliant - so centrally placed and really clean (and cheap!) we couldn't believe our luck. As for Puerto Banus itself - we're going back every year we loved it so much - it's classy but fun at the same time and I wanted to take the 5 inch cushions on the sunbeds home! Toni Dallis' was great and we also went to one of the recommended italians in the guide who were really brilliant on saturday night.

The Montjuic Hill and the Olympic Stadium

The hill overlooking the centre from the south-west is called Montjuic. You can get there by taking the Metro to the Paral.lel stop, then taking the Funicular (train on steep slope) up half the hill, and then finally the Telefèric de Montjuïc (cable car) the rest of the way.
At the top you will be rewarded by some great views, a castle to explore and a castle courtyard where you can buy a beer from the cafeteria and enjoy the sunshine.
Just off here is the Olympic Stadium used in 1992. You can get there by walking from the top of the Funicular. |
