The
hill overlooking the centre from the south-west is called Montjuic.
You can get there by taking the Metro to the Paral.lel stop, then taking
the Funicular (train on steep slope) up half the hill, and then finally
the Telefčric de Montjuďc (cable car) the rest of the way. |

At
the top you will be rewarded by some great views, a castle to explore
and a castle courtyard where you can buy a beer from the cafeteria and
enjoy the sunshine.
Just off here is the Olympic Stadium used in 1992. You can get there by
walking from the top of the Funicular. |
