We all know that the Spanish like nothing better than a good Paella for lunch but it’s still a bit of a culinary mystery for us Brits. How about learning how to make your very own paella, at the hands of a real Spanish chef ! There’s plenty to do so bring all your mates and they can all chip in !

Your
group will be picked up outside your hotel
by your Henorita guide, and taken by coach
to the restaurant. Upon arrival we divide
into teams if your group is big enough (10
people per team). Weather permitting we’ll
cook the paella out on the terrace.

Each
team has it’s own chef, table and all the necessary equipment and ingredients to make a paella. It’s then time to get suited up, so on with the apron and optional chef’s hat, for those who relish photo opportunities !

The chef will explain all the necessary stages and it’s up to the teams to put the instructions into practice – remember that you’ll be eating your paella afterwards! In true Spanish style we’ll pass the drinks round as we prepare the meal – fine wine to accompany the culinary scents from all those fresh ingredients simmering away! Once the cooking is underway it’s time for some “aperitivo” snacks, also complimentary to the main, paella.

After approximately 20 minutes cooking the rice, the paella will be ready. You can all sit at the table for a well earned rest. The paella is then served, accompanied by salad. The menu is completed with a typical Spanish desert, desert wine, coffees and a generous drinks allowance of wine or sangria.
And for those of you daring enough to try this again at home we’ll give you a written copy of the recipe !
