hen weekends in Spain

Hi Chris,
I just wanted to say a big thank you for the arrangements and organisation on Friday night. The Foxy Fiesta definitely exceeded our expectations and we will be recommending you to our fellow hens who fancy giving Barcelona a go in the near future !

Barcelona Bike Tour and Paella Lunch

Pedal around Barcelona and see the sights in the sunshine Do you ever have the desire to slow down the pace of life ? Well, you can when in Barcelona and what better way than to amble around this Mediterranean metropolis on two wheels ? The hustle and bustle of city life taken in at a pace that even the most sedate can enjoy.
hen After your Guide has met you at your Hotel you will then be taken to the evocative El Borne area with its maze of tiny cobbled streets and medieval buildings. Once you are sat comfortably on two wheels you will meander through the streets and into the city centre’s biggest Park, el Parc de la Ciutadella. The park’s delight, as well as its wealth of greenery, is its waterfall, which the young Gaudi helped to create.
The downhills are the best bit After your leisurely cycle through the park you will head for the Arc de Triomf, then through the city’s streets (most are well equipped with cycle paths) and on to ogle the famous Gaudi church, la Sagrada Familia. This is the city’s gem and a ‘must see’ for all visitors. Its sheer size is awe-inspiring and its design is like nothing you will have witnessed before.
Reward yourselves with a lovely paella lunch on the terrace Sound thirst quenching ? Well, why not stop and take a break here, have a wander around, or sit on a terrace and watch the world go by. Don’t be tempted by any of the local tapas though as you wouldn't want to spoil your appetite !
Pedal around Barcelona and see the sights in the sunshine Afterwards you are heading for the beach side restaurant where a banquet of Paella and wine will be laid out for you. Relax on a sun drenched terrace munching on well earned delicious and nutritious food and soak up the Mediterranean vibe. Sand, sea … and maybe some sangria ?
hen After lunch, a chilled cycle back through the warren of skinny streets and magical little squares returning to the, now familiar, El Borne and by that time you’ll have wished you could have brought a bicycle over in your suitcase !

Henorita's Hint :

"Take shades and rub-in sun cream. When you´re whizzing through the streets of Barca with the wind in your hair, it may not feel like you´re getting tanned. However, you will be, especially in the summer, so rub some cream in before you start."

What do I get for my money ?
