Do you ever have the desire to slow down the pace of life ? Well, you can when in Barcelona and what better way than to amble around this Mediterranean metropolis on two wheels ? The hustle and bustle of city life taken in at a pace that even the most sedate can enjoy. |
 |
After your Guide has met you at your Hotel you will then be taken to the evocative El Borne area with its maze of tiny cobbled streets and medieval buildings. Once you are sat comfortably on two wheels you will meander through the streets and into the city centre’s biggest Park, el Parc de la Ciutadella. The park’s delight, as well as its wealth of greenery, is its waterfall, which the young Gaudi helped to create. |
 |
After your leisurely cycle through the park you will head for the Arc de Triomf, then through the city’s streets (most are well equipped with cycle paths) and on to ogle the famous Gaudi church, la Sagrada Familia. This is the city’s gem and a ‘must see’ for all visitors. Its sheer size is awe-inspiring and its design is like nothing you will have witnessed before. |

Sound
thirst quenching ? Well, why not stop and take a break here, have a wander
around, or sit on a terrace and watch the world go by. Don’t
be tempted by any of the local tapas though as you wouldn't want to spoil
your appetite ! |
 |
Afterwards
you are heading for the beach side restaurant where a banquet of Paella
and wine will be laid out for you. Relax on a sun drenched terrace
munching on well earned delicious and nutritious food and soak up the
Mediterranean vibe. Sand, sea … and maybe some sangria ? |
